Hi Steve I have been asked what your dads name was as some of the members may have sailed with him.

The Orsino H410 caught fire while bunkering in Honninsvag on 23rd April 1975. A fire broke out in the crew accomodation. Whilst fighting the fire the 2nd Mate David Thompson was overcome by fumes and lost his life. The Orsino was later beached away from the port, she was towed back to Hull by the Stern Trawler Kurd arriving on the 9th May 1975.
