28 Dec 1959 The St Chad was towed into Tromso Norway by a salvage tug with a trawl wire wrapped around her propellor

06 Mar 1973 She was one of nine vessels in a 36 hour period that reported harassment from Icelandic Gunboats.

 

 

On 30 Mar 1973 whilst sheltering at Ritur Huk on the north western coast of Iceland the St CHAD H20 was forced upon the rocks of the fjord. There where severe snow blizzards and gales blowing which decreased visibility and hampered rescue attempts. After the rescue there was still controversy as the Othello entered Isaforjd to land the shipwrecked crewmen she was jeered by crowds of youths, and whilst there was no attempt to stop her landing she only remaind in port for five minutes, the Othello faced a list of alleged breaches of the 50 mile fishing zone. The skipper and mate of the St Chad remained Aboard the Othello also in fear of been arrested for illegal fishing.

02 Dec 1970 Vladimir was flow home from the St Chad which was fishing off Iceland, a devastating fire had broke out at his Hull home. Three of Vladimirs children died in the blaze. VLADIMIR aged 6 months, GEORGINA aged 4 Yrs and PAUL aged 6 yrs. Vladimirs wife Lily aged 25 and daughter Amanda aged 8 yrs survived the blaze.
