WHITLEY - ANDREW - CHRISTOPHER - 36 ( Skipper ) Pickering Rd Hull - Enquiry into the sinking of the Staxton Wyke found collsion was caused by the wrongful act or default of the trawler skipper, the mate and the master of the Dalhanna, John Evans. In that the vessels navigated at full speed in the fog. Skippers' certificate suspended 2 years.

ALLISON - WALTER ( Mate ) Witness at enquiry into collision and sinking with the loss of 5 men. Staxton Wyke Times, Thurs 21 Jan 1960 Saw ship on radar dead ahead and about 3 miles away, assumed it was going to Flamborough, changed course to port. Staxton Wyke was steaming at full speed in dense fog, against the regulations. Certificate suspended 18 months
