16 Nov 1952 Lawrence Oliver skipper - Trawler arrested for fishing inside Norwegian waters ,escorted to Vardo. Vardo town court sentenced skipper to fine of £350 with £3,000 damages and £30 costs. Skipper Oliver refused to pay fine and asked for court hearing The Mate held his skippers ticket so was signed on as the skipper and sailed the Southella Home leaving Skipper Oliver to face the courts the trip made £6000 pounds. The catch would have been worthless had the vessel remained in port waiting for the skipper.

10 Aug 1961 Skipper Pearson after been arrested by Icelandic gunboat Thor was fined £2,100
