"Guardian" / "Bay Roberts Guardian" Newspaper Announcements: - Friday, November 5, 1915 An Admiralty Telegram has been received by Commander MacDermott saying that the Trawler Othello ll had been blown up on the 31st. Oct., and that FREDERICK JAMES BUTT, seaman, Newfoundland is missing and presumed dead. He was a son of Mr. George Butt (of Nathaniel) and Mrs. Mary Butt of Freshwater, Bay de Verde. He joined the Reserve on Jan. 25th, 1915, and sailed with the Scandinavian contingent. | |||||||
