Standby vessels Veesea Hawk, Veesea Merlin, Veesea Eagle, and St Kitts (all built in the 1960s) that have been laid up in Leith for sometime have been bought by Boston Putford Seacor on private terms. It is expected that threeof the vessels will be sent for scrap whilst the Veesea Hawk will be sold to others for conversion to non-oil related purposes.

TURNER - ROBERT 35 ( Skipper ) Aug 1973. On Aug 12 the Icelandic gunboat Aegir had fired blank shots over the bows of the St Vincent as she had been fishing inside the Icelandic limit, a chase pursued but the St Vincent evaded the aegir and made her way back to Hull. A later inquest suspended Skipper Turner for 6 months but said the suspension was for breaking company rules.. In the following weeks 17 Hull skippers were to be suspended after been reported fishing inside the icelandic limit.
