Fact File TURNER - ROBERT 35 ( Skipper ) Aug 1973. On Aug 12 the Icelandic gunboat Aegir had fired blank shots over the bows of the St Vincent as she had been fishing inside the Icelandic limit, a chase pursued but the St Vincent evaded the aegir and made her way back to Hull. A later inquest suspended Skipper Turner for 6 months but said the suspension was for breaking company rules.. In the following weeks 17 Hull skippers were to be suspended after been reported fishing inside the icelandic limit. |
