Mar 29 1898 The Jersey arrived at Hull with the crew of the Schooner Pacific of Frederickshaven. About 70 miles from Spurn the Pacific was hit by a terrible sea and her decks swept clean, the 12 man crew took to their boat and shortly after the Pacific filled with water and foundered, the Jersey then hove in sight and picked up the crews from the boat.

After leaving Hull on the 4th Nov 1915 for a normal 8-10 day trip, there was no sign of the vessel and on 27 Nov 1915 The Jersey was given up as lost, with a visit to the nine families by the port missioner listed as lost to enemy action 16 miles ENE of Spurn
