HULL FISHERMEN: The Attack on the Faraday

Captain Addy in court: Captain Addy of the Hull steam trawler Farady was charged at the sheriffs court at Stornoway this afternoon with illegal trawling in Broad Bay. The hearing of the case was concluded shortly before 4`oclock when a heavy sentence was impossed.

TRAWLERS OFF ICELAND

British vessels Seized

A dispatch received here from Seydhfjord Iceland ( Dated April 25th ) states that the Danish Warship Helmdal stationed there has seized the British Trawler swallow ( GY Grimsby ) Master Oswald Blackler on a charge of illegal fishing. Captain Blackler admitted the offence and was sentenced to pay a fine of 1,000 Kroner and to the confiscation of the fish caught and his fishing tackle. The Captain of the Trawler Faraday seized a few days before on the same charge pleaded not guilty but was convicted and condemned to the same penalty. Reuter
