Fate : Vessel was wrecked on the Goodwin Sands 4 Feb 1916 The deal lifeboat went to the vessel in response to distress signals, the De La Pole was full of water and of her 12 man crew 8 were lashed to the rigging, the vessel was breaking up rapidly but by means of lifeline the crew were taken aboard the lifeboat although one man was fataly injured while doing so.
