Fate : APR 03 1913 The Dauntless left Hull 5 weeks previous to been posted as missing on Apr 03 1913, she had a crew of 12, 9 of which were married men. The last sighting of the vessel was when she left Stornoway on March 4.

 

 

Times 08 Apr 1913 LOSS OF A STEAM TARWLER

Hope has been abandoned of the safety of the Hull Steam Trawler Dauntless, which left Hull five weeks ago for the Icelandic fishing grounds and has not been heard of since she left Stornoway on March 4. The vessel was in charge of Captain Michael, and of her total crew nine were married. The last winter has been unusually disastrous to the fishing population of West Hull; down to present 63 lives have been lost during the season.
