On Feb 10th 1935 The Hull Trawler Bunsen with approximately 19 other vessels went to the assistance of the Grimsby Trawler Langanes which had grounded and was wrecked off Dyrafjord Iceland. The Bunsen launched her boat which was unable to reach the Langanes and while attempting to do so was swamped by a huge wave, the boat then capsized and the mate was drowned, two other crewmen were picked up by the Grimsby Trawler Stoke City.

SIGURDDSON B . BUNSEN H269 . Skipper 06 Jan 1937 Reported in Hull that he had last heared the missing vessel Admiral Collingwood speaking to another vessel over the radio approximately a week previously on 30th Dec. the Admiral Collingwood was aproaching the Norwegian coast in very severe weather.
