Fate : 28 04 1955 Whilst sheltering at anchor
off the Faroe Islands the anchor chain broke and the vessel was
driven onto the rocks, the Ben Meidie SN340 also at anchor came
to assist but after having no time to launch their lifeboat before
the vessel slipped off the rocks, 3 men were rescued from the water
a further eleven were found clinging to a liferaft, one man was
swept away and a further 3 died on the way to Thorshaven.
